The year before the Internet blew up

There was a world before the Internet and I’m not talking about when the Internet (originally ARPANET) was launched in 1969.

I mean the year it began its relentless march to become what it is today, the central medium in the world.

That year was 1994.

This is what the online world looked like just one year before in 1993. It’s a lesson on how fast things can change and big things can happen that no one (almost no one) sees coming.
