John Prine did what songwriters used to do: He wrote lyrics that meant something
This song of his is one of my favorites.
The key line is in the chorus:
“It’s a half an inch of water and you think you’re gonna drown…”
I don’t know how many times these lyrics saved my young life – and they still comes in handy from time to time.
If you don’t know it, check it out. It wouldn’t hurt to learn how to sing it (even if you can’t carry a tune.)
That’s the way that the world goes ’round
You’re up one day, the next you’re down
It’s half an inch of water and you think you’re gonna drown
That’s the way that the world goes ’round
I started the System Club in 2002 when people said Internet marketing was dead, planes were empty because no one was flying, and AdTech almost went bankrupt.
We focus on marketing and the other two essentials in the entrepreneurial life: wealth preservation and health maintenance.
We’ve been doing this for years.
You will find a great deal of useful information about the current situation here.
