There are people who will get the meaning of this cartoon instantly. And there are others who will forever be scratching their heads over it.
I imagine one can still make plenty of money even if being continuously hoodwinked by this non-stop cavalcade of transparent frauds – many do. But at what cost to the future of your family, your community, and your country?
Maybe it has always been thus, that blatant frauds not only rain unnecessary misery on millions of people – mostly the poor – but also transfer billions, and in some cases trillions, of dollars from the Treasury to a growing army of white-collar criminals.
Here’s hoping people start waking up.
