How many thousands of small businesses are literally being choked to death, not by a virus, or by a thug wearing a police uniform, but by despotic politicians who are using CoVid to throw their weight around?
The reality is that the food and restaurant business has long been a chance for creative, hard working people of all backgrounds to create livelihoods for themselves and their communities.
These important, hard working people who do so much to make our lives more pleasant are being economically murdered in broad daylight.
In New York City, and no doubt in other places where tyrants rule, restaurants are not allowed to use sidewalks – the sidewalks their exorbitant tax bills pay for – without massive red tape and permissions, all of which is currently shut down.
Rather than show basic common sense and decency, politicians and bureaucrats are maintaining their petty chokeholds.
Generally I find petitions 100% useless and Change.org is 99.9% scam, but it’s something and if it encourages the people organizing the fight, it’s probably worthwhile.
