The news you’re not getting

Beginning on March 9, I started writing articles about the shutdown.

Some of these articles contain business advice.

Others are commentaries on what I believe will eventually be revealed as the biggest news media-fueled mass delusion in the nation’s history.

…Not unlike what Charles Mackay wrote about in his classic book “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.”

However, unlike Mackay, I don’t lay the blame for this social and economic disaster on the public. That belongs to the news media, the politicians and the fuzzy-minded thinkers who believe and echo them without questioning.

Encouragingly, many of the people I talk with have a healthy skepticism about what we’re being told. What they don’t necessarily have is the time to dig deep into all the inaccurate and fear-provoking claims the news media and politicians are making.

I’ve also been posting short items to Twitter as I find bits and pieces of  important information that the news media carefully leaves out of their evening broadcast of “CoVid-19 Theater.” Articles and some highlights of the Twitter posts follow below.

“The stock market is not going to bounce back and this pandemic is not going away fast.”

So what do we do about all this?

What I said in my March 26th podcast (“What to do now”) still applies 100% (see above.)

I also provide members of the System Club  a steady stream of actionable advice on how to navigate through this mess that none of us created, but all of us are going to have to pay for.

As always, for those who keep their wits, there will be opportunities and I hope my articles and tweets have helped you keep yours.
