Netscape: The original Internet start up

There were a few businesses on the Internet before Netscape, but it’s not exaggeration to say that the chances are overwhelmingly good that if you’re using the Web, you’re using it because this company existed.

In the world of business there are people and entities that “game” value. They figure out how to manipulate existing assets and cash flows so the money points to them. Wall Street comes to mind.

Then there are people who create value. Netscape is a perfect example of a venture that both made money for its founders and made the world a far richer place.

If you don’t know the details of this fascinating story and how it came to be, now’s as good a time as any to inform yourself.

I guarantee it will inspire you and stretch your idea of what’s possible.
