You can’t win ’em all, but you can always take pride in giving it your all

System grad Nick LaCava’s bid for an Olympic medal ended today.

There were two semifinal races and had Nick’s boat been in the second race, they would have qualified for the final. Instead, they were matched in the first race with the UK, Holland and Switzerland, world powerhouses in the sport.

This Thursday, Nick’s boat competes in what’s called the B-Final which is a competition for 7th place.

Actually, there are two System grads in this photo. Nick’s father, John LaCava (far left in red).

John is currently having the SEO for his law firm’s web site revamped by System Club faculty member Andy Greene. It’s an interesting story that we might cover in depth after the project is complete.

Meanwhile, congratulations Nick. We’re all very proud of your efforts!
