Long-time subscribers know that starting in 2005, I started writing about the strange laxness of mortgage underwriting. Then came the 2008 subprime crash.
This followed my 1998 sale of my company, E-Media, moving back east, and completely distancing myself from everything tech-related, declaring that the industry had lost its mind. Then came the dot-com crash.

Amusing and instructive evidence. Spoiler alert: Don’t be Larry Ellison.
