Speak of the devil…
I was doing a Google search (I don’t remember what for) and up came this piece which was kind of a surprise. I remember when it came out in print, but I didn’t think it would be on the web.
This is handy because it’s a good answer to people who ask me if I still use direct mail and when I answer yes, why.
On January 8, I published an article on this blog called “The future is here…” about how major US technology companies have been helping the Chinese government censor free speech and persecute Chinese journalists.
Looks like things are starting to change…
William Gibson, the writer who coined the term, "cyberspace" said it:
"The future is here. It’s just not evenly distributed yet."
I’m a glass "half full" kind of guy, but there’s a shadow on the future…
