Best blogs

If you’re looking for examples of highly regarded blogs to model your own after, you might check out the nominees for the 2006 Weblog Awards.

Lots of categories. Here are just a few examples: best media blog, best sports blog, best military blog, best law blog, best parenting blog and on and on. The nominee list is also a good research tool if you’re looking for places to buy tartgeted ads and/or get quality links.

System Seminar faculty member Dave Taylor is a nominee for best technology blog. Talk about a competetive category! So far, he’s running second to Slashdot, the 800 pound gorilla of the category. Maybe we can nudge Dave ahead. I know who I’m voting for.

If you’ve never seen Dave Taylor’s blog, it’s set up so that frustrated tech users (all of us at one time or another) can get intelligent answers to their questions – free. It’s that’s not a worth a vote. I don’t know what is.

Give Dave a well deserved plug and then check out the nominees in all the categories.

    Hello Ken:

Thank you for the valuable information. For the past two years I have been testing the use of blogs for business and I now help all my consultig clients get started with blogs. All of them are benefiting from the blogs that we developed.

A lot of what I have learned is published in a series named Blogging For Profits which is available at http://www.stevereports.com Currently this is a free subscription and there are more than 15 issues. Anyone on the fence of publishing a blog should be convinced after reading the information that is published there.

There are many dimensions to blogs and taking what I have learned from my past participation in The System, what I am developing is likely to migrate into additional products.

Thanks again Ken for the information on where to find great blogs and all the best to you.

    Steve

    Hey Ken

I got to agree with Andrew…this blog and your video blog should be an example of great blogs! Love reading them.

    Dear Ken,

Where can I search to find complimentary blogs for the subject of my new book that’s never been written about before… ever! I’d say a good source of information is your informative and resourceful blog. Thank you.

I wonder how many internet businesses you help in a day? Some? A lot? A whole big bunch? The last seems most true. 🙂

    Happy Birthday,
    Joan Bramsch

    Ken:
Thank you very much for introducing me to Dave Taylor and explaining the value of blogging. I manage a law practice in Atlanta and I now publish 3 blogs and a podcast. Besides getting new clients, I am also getting calls from the local media.
As usual, your info is pure gold.
